Ryan Ivie

Ryan earned his Master of Architecture degree from the University of Idaho. He has nationwide experience with building and municipal codes ranging from New York to Hawaii. His diverse professional experience cuts across commercial, office, retail, health-club, residential, and design-build projects. In addition, he brings his background as an EWP structural designer, estimator, and general contractor to MDA.

Since joining the Seattle firm, Ryan’s worked on numerous human healthcare and veterinary care-focused projects preparing due-diligence reports - working directly with clients on schematic designs, project development, construction documents and specifications, and construction administration. He describes the best part of his job as working collectively as a team with the client, consultants, and contractor from start to finish, seeing through the project’s full potential.

Originally hailing from Bozeman, Montana, Ryan is a former Junior Olympian alpine skier. Along with his family and three dogs, he continues to take every opportunity to explore all the varied outdoor activities the Pacific Northwest has to offer. When he’s not exploring the great outdoors, he enjoys attending the many plays, musicals, concerts, comedy shows, and cultural events of the Seattle area.
