Preston Welch

Architecture

Preston comes to the Seattle studio as a licensed Architect with over 25 years of architectural and design experience. He graduated from Kansas State University and began his career in Kansas before moving to Washington in 2004. His background includes working with healthcare, education, high-rise residential, institutional, workplace, and laboratories. He’s passionate about finding how parts and pieces work together and takes pride in being detail-oriented and technical.

From coordinating project documents to quality control to managing consultants and the design team, Preston supports his design team in any way possible. His top priority is ensuring the client receives their design intent through architectural working drawings and on-site construction.

In his free time, he remains intertwined in the design world through many home renovations – from flooring to trim to cabinets and fixtures, he always finds something to update. One of his favorite hobbies is constructing luxury cardboard cat houses and furniture, and if he’s not building homes for furry friends, he’s enjoying music, heading to the gym, hiking, watching horror and sci-fi movies, or diving into all things paranormal.
