WORSHIP

West Liberty Church of Christ

New Worship Facility

Project Data:

Location: Kingman, Indiana

Size: 12,000 square feet

Built in the 1800’s, the original building of West Liberty Church of Christ brought historical and sentimental value to its members.  But when the cemetery that is located in the rear of the building, would not allow for any growth, the Church had to find an alternative way to provide the space needed for the growing population of the Church.  Help came by  way of one of its members who donated 5 acres to the project.  The land enabled the Church to build a completely new facility and utilize the existing building as a temporary shelter.

This worship facility was efficiently designed with a prominent roof line and drop-off/pick-up entrance canopy.  The façade is clad in warm-toned brick and block. This facility was designed with expansion to the rear, and brings plenty of light into the worship space through the clerestory windows.
